You can preview the book here.
And buy it here or here.

Recipes ranging from appetizers to desserts covering all the meals of the day, loads of tips,  and the appetizing photos accompanying them make this book a great read.
Eye popping photographs that tempt you to eat right out of the pages, menu ideas, tips to get the most out of your shopping, cooking, and more- this book has it all. And to top it all, the recipes all include super foods which make them healthy as well. What more can I ask for?

This book is wonderful, chockfull of tips, information, and of course, recipes. The book starts off with an informative guide to superfoods along with tips to simplify the whole cooking process and a sample weekly menu. Tips include how to buy, store, and use the superfoods – truly useful.  Healthy pantry samples, seasonal fruits and vegetables, nutrition terms glossary, basic recipes (includes recipes for tomato sauce and vegetable stock) are included at the end of the book.

The book is divided into sections based on the meals of the day – breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks/starters, sides, and desserts. Each section includes quick fix ideas (for on the go and making ahead), and each recipe includes a nutrition guide.
Some of my favorite recipes from the book are:
•    Tofu scramble with corn, mushrooms, and bell peppers
•    Chewy fruit and nut bars
•    Heirloom tomato gazpacho
•    Spaghetti with garlicky greens
•    All the salads in the book
•    And again all the quick fix sides which are really quick fix dishes
•    And last, but not the least the totally delish desserts!

Don’t they all sound totally yummy? I have tried the tofu scramble, as well as breakfast smoothies and some of the salads in the book at home and I can tell you that they totally passed the taste test and this mommy’s test for a healthy meal too.

Rating:  A (a few more recipes and some personal stories and/or food related anecdotes would have made me give this an A+probably!)

  46. I make a healthy meal the night before to take to work. Or when I cook a lot of times I will make extra for healthy lunches- this works especially well when making brown rice, which takes an annoying 45 minutes to cook! But the stuff is so healthy and good that it's worth making.

  47. For me, having lots of choices ready to dump & go makes a huge difference. When I put up chicken, I freeze in the marinade & it's ready to grill. I always keep a ton of washed & ready to use veggies in the crispers, and have nuts & seeds as well as dried & reg fruits to add to salads. If we're really hungry, we'll add cheese & put it in a tortilla.
