Happy Birthday

Cookie season does tend to munch time, just like we munch the cookies :) I did not account for that when I renewed my goals for this month. As I look through the boxes (cases!) of cookies in the garage waiting to be sold to all those who can't resist the temptations of Girl Scout Cookies (I am one of that lot but have so far resisted opening them because once I do, it is difficult to stop and as I mentioned just now,  I have cases of cookies in the garage!).
With a birthday to plan for and Valentines to make for the class, this little blog of mine gets lost in the whole scheme of things. But for ABC Wednesday's letter D, in keeping with the theme I started, here is a poem written in the form - Diminished Hexaverse.
It is an easy to understand form and does not look for rhyme. It has 5 stanzas. each with decreasing number of lines (and the lines in each stanza with decreasing number of syllables starting with 5 and ending at one).

Here is my poem:

My Daughter, My Friend

My little one, she
 turns ten today; see,
- 'was not long ago
that she was tiny
our naughty sweet one..

Time flies by fast,
Memories last.
Tears, smiles, and more
to always store.

The bestest
Helper, and
Sweetest too!

Darling
Sweetheart

Love!

    1. Definitely agree on this, ROG. :) as I write this, I have my 13 YO begging me to open a box of Samoas - my answer - a big NOO.. (for now, once the whole family is home, then at least, we can share the happiness and the guilt)
