Teetotaciously Thursday Memes

NaBloPoMo – how hard do you think you work
To put it shortly: When I work, I work very hard, and when I don’t, I hardly work at all..:)
(though the don't times are so few and far between)...

Some quotes on hard work:
“I'm a greater believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it”
― Thomas Jefferson
“Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time, who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done, if we are always doing.”
― Thomas Jefferson

For Alphabe Thursday – (letter is C) and Thursday Thirteen – Thirteen Important C’s
  1. Be Compassionate
  2. Be Curious
  3. Character
  4. Be Creative
  5. Be Confident
  6. Communicate/Connect
  7. Choose well
  8. Take Chances
  9. Be the Change
  10. Be in Control
  11. Be Courageous
  12. Contribute
  13. And though this word is different from the rest, and though there are lots of other C words that can fit here, this word is very important too – Chocolate

For Theme Thursday,(imagination) and dVerse Poets Pub-Quatern
Update to my Quatern in italicized words in brackets: Thank you, Beachanny... Guess my imagination forgot the refrain! So here is a slight update. I kept the original poem right where it was and added the updated version at the end of the post)

Imagination is a powerful thing
With it, you can ride a cycle while you are dancing,
You can go anywhere you want
Be it real or a favorite dream haunt

And best of all, you can do anything
While you are right where you are sitting
Imagination is wonderful indeed
You can be a knight or his steed

You can write a story on the moon
Or take a underwater trip in a balloon
Imagination makes my brain-bank go kaching!
You can make up words, like lazaping

You can imagine yourself to be the best You
Imagine yourself better and make it true
You never know what it can bring
So go imagine a wonderful something!

Some quotes on imagination:
"Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere."- Albert Einstein
The strongest nation on earth is your imagi-nation.  ~Matt Furey

Here is my updated quatern: refrain/syllables
Imagination:

It sure is a powerful thing
You can ride a cycle dancing
Can go anywhere you want
Be it real or a dream haunt

Yet stay right here sitting.
It sure is a powerful thing
It is so wonderful indeed
You can be a knight or his steed

Can write a story on the moon
underwater in a balloon
It sure is a powerful thing
It makes up words, like lazaping

Imagine you are the best You
Imagine 'better'; make it true
Never know what it can bring
It sure is a powerful thing

    1. Thank you, Brian.. I love Dr.Seuss and 'Oh! The Places you'll go' is my favorite of his books. So if this sounds like him, that is a major compliment!

  3. I love chocolate too. That has to be the most important C word of all. I also love your imagination poem. Part of me likes the thought of writing a story on the moon but then I wonder if there would be any inspiration around and then my imagination realized that I would be sitting on the side of which I could see our planet and that would be the best inspiration of all. Yes, I have taken a ride with you and enjoyed the underwater trip too.

Lots of fun here, happy Theme Thursday. Have a fun weekend.

    God bless.

    1. Of course, Chocolate is soooo important... Thank you so much for your compliments.. In my imagination, the moon is fascinating (though not the H.G.Wells version of it!)..and yes, if I was watching Earth, that would be just perfect

  4. Well this was lots of fun, and I loved the Powerful Imagining theme running through. Of course you took a fair amount of liberty with the form, but rules are meant to be broken and the poem is you! Enjoyed it a lot! Thanks.

    1. Thank you, Beachanny... I loved the comments.. ('The poem is you' part reminded me of my favorite Dr.Seuss quote - Dr. Seuss
“Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”
But I did make updates to my poem with a refrain..just to see how it looks..
